Objective

To promote innovative international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration in research and innovation through exchanging staff and sharing knowledge and ideas at all stages of the innovation chain.

Priorities

For staff members

Boost skills, innovation capacity, and international exposure: Foster the development of research and transferable skills, entrepreneurial mindsets, and international networking to enhance career prospects and broaden the impact of research and innovation.

For participating organisations

Strengthen cooperation and R&I capacity: Promote innovative cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration, enhancing knowledge transfer and building stronger, more diverse international R&I networks.

Eligible activities :

  • activities can be based on previous work but should go beyond and generate or strengthen long-term collaborations.
  • implementation of a joint R&I project by seconding and/or hosting eligible staff members.
  • exploit complementary competences of the participating organisations and create synergies between them.
  • enable networking activities and the organisation of workshops and conferences, to facilitate sharing of knowledge and testing of innovative approaches for specific R&I topics.

Eligiblity

Consortium

  • Members of consortium: Composed of at least three legal entities (government entities, regional authorities, funding agencies, universities, research organisations, enterprises including SMEs) independent of each other. average size of the consortia is between 6 to 10 organisations (beneficiaries and associated partners)
  • Countries: Organisations established in three different countries, of which at least two must be established in different EU Member States and/or Horizon Europe Associated Country.
  • Sectors: If all participating organisations are from the same sector (i.e., either only academic or only non-academic), there must be at least one organisation from a non-associated third country.

Staff member

  • Be considered staff of the sending organization
  • Be actively engaged in or linked to R&I activities at the sending institution for at least one month (full-time equivalent)
  • Have the appropriate R&I experience
    Afterthe period of secondment, seconded staff should return to their sending institution, thus maximising the impact of the action for knowledge sharing and longterm collaboration.
