Objective

This call targets projects addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges related to the EU’s climate goals (bottom-up approach), benefiting the territories identified in the Just Transition Plans.

Priorities

  • Investments in renewable energy and sustainable mobility, including green hydrogen.
  • Efficient urban heating networks.
  • Public research and digitalization.
  • Environmental infrastructure for smart waste and water management.
  • Energy efficiency and integration measures, including building renovation.
  • Urban renewal and regeneration.
  • Transition to a circular economy.
  • Restoration of land and ecosystems, and decontamination based on the “polluter pays” principle.
  • Biodiversity protection.
  • Training, reskilling, and social infrastructure (social housing, etc.).
  • Cross-border projects to enhance resilience to ecological disasters.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must be legal entities (public or private organizations with a public service mission) established in an EU Member state.
  • Entities must register and be validated by the Central Validation Service before submitting their proposal.
