Hack&Match 3 : A new opportunity for Your Energy Challenges

The IDEALIST project, supported by Horizon Europe, is launching the third edition of its collaborative Hack&Match event, this time focused on Advanced Technologies for Energy Savings.
The aim is simple: to connect innovation stakeholders with concrete energy-related needs to innovative technology providers, researchers, and digital innovation hubs across Europe, in order to co-develop practical, technology-driven solutions.
Strategic Objective
Backed by a consortium of 14 European partners, IDEALIST is committed to strengthening the resilience of SMEs in critical industrial ecosystems — energy-intensive industries, aerospace and defense, mobility, transport and automotive — by leveraging synergies between strategic foresight, adoption of advanced technologies, and supply chain resilience.
How to participate to Hack&Match ?
1️⃣ Call for Challenges (September 1 – October 3, 2025)
Organizations (SMEs, including start-ups, mid-caps, and large companies) can submit one or more challenges free of charge via a dedicated form.
2️⃣ Call for Solutions (October 6 – November 7, 2025)
European actors (tech-savvy SMEs and start-ups, researchers, technology centers, EDIHs, digital innovation hubs, accelerators, and other similar organizations supporting business growth) are invited to propose innovative solutions to address the submitted challenges.
3️⃣ Team Formation (November 10 – 14, 2025)
Participants will be grouped into teams of 2 to 8 people, combining Challenge Providers with Solution Providers. Each team will also benefit from the guidance of IDEALIST partners acting as Tutors to maximize the effectiveness of the exchanges.
Note: Participants don’t need to be/have been involved in the project’s other actions to participate in this event.
Hack&Match : Two Days of Intensive Co-Creation
The Hack&Match event will be held on November 18–19, 2025, 100% online and inspired by the hackathon format.
November 18th
- 09h00 : Kick-Off followed by a keynote by an AI expert, team presentations, rules and modalities.
- 10h30 : Team-up with reciprocal presentations, definition of needs and first drafts of solutions.
Mercredi 19 novembre 2025
- 15h30 : Submission of required deliverables.
- 16h00 : Final presentations and collective restitution of the solutions by each team.
All interactions will be hosted on the AGORA platform, ensuring a collaborative online environment.
