APTE SA
We design and manufacture technical plastic parts using thermoforming, machining, and bending techniques.

APTE SA specializes in the thermoforming of plastic sheets and coils, a process that involves heating a sheet of thermoplastic material, vacuum molding it, and then cutting it to create technical industrial parts.
With a fleet of 12 automated thermoforming machines and 12 5-axis machining centers, APTE controls the entire process in-house, from prototype to series production. Parts can measure up to 3 meters by 2 meters, while meeting precise dimensional and functional constraints.
Two main technologies are used:
- One-Sheet: forming from a single sheet, suitable for solid, lightweight parts.
- Twin-Sheet: simultaneous assembly of two sheets to create hollow volumes that are both rigid and lightweight.
The business is structured around two main areas:
- Reusable industrial packaging: design of custom transport trays for the logistics of sensitive parts (engines, batteries, electronic cards). These supports ensure protection, traceability, and robotic handling on assembly lines.
- Technical industrial parts: production of covers, shells, surgical trays, cabin interiors, and suitcase components for sectors such as medical, agriculture, construction, and electronics.
APTE is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and is committed to continuous improvement in quality and environmental performance. Starting in 2026, the company will begin the process of obtaining IATF 16949 certification in order to strengthen its competitiveness in the automotive industry.
APTE’s R&D policy is based on eco-design and control of the product life cycle from the design office stage onwards:
- Reduction of thicknesses, optimization of shapes, and integration of recycled materials to combine performance and material efficiency.
- Development of Twin-Sheet to replace certain rotomolded parts with lighter, recyclable thermoformed solutions.
- Internal recycling loop: all production waste is sorted and shredded in-house before being sent back to suppliers to be remanufactured into new recycled raw materials.
This comprehensive approach, combining innovation, eco-design, and circularity, positions APTE SA as an industrial player committed to ecological transition and sustainable thermoforming made in France.
