ECOLE CENTRALE DE LYON

To train engineers and doctors who are open to the world and capable of meeting the scientific challenges of tomorrow.

The mission of the Ecole Centrale de Lyon is to train engineers and doctors who are open to the world and able to meet the scientific challenges of tomorrow. Every year, she graduates nearly 400 engineering students and 70 doctors (215 PhD students present at the School in 2013-2014).

The training provided benefits from the research excellence of the 6 CNRS-certified laboratories present on its campus and the influence of the 7 international research structures (LIA, UMI and GDRI) in which the School is involved in Korea, Japan, China, Brazil, Australia and Canada. In a spirit of openness common to all the institutions of the Group of Central Schools, its very high-level general education has made it a school recognized nationally and internationally by many companies as well as by prestigious universities with which it has signed double degree agreements.

The ambition of the Ecole Centrale de Lyon is to reach a leading position in Europe and to remain increasingly competitive in the global competition. To achieve this, the School is launching ECL 4.0, its strategic development and renewal project to train the engineer of tomorrow in a different way and meet more and more challenges.
